ZOOM ZOOM - The fastest conventionally powered motor yacht
of her size (161 ft.) ever built. in the US. sails the
seas |
| New
Orleans, Louisiana - August 21, 2005 - Trinity Yachts,
LLC announced it has launched the semi displacement 161
ft. (49m) tri-deck motoryacht, ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM. |
According
to William S. (Billy) Smith III, Vice President, "She
is the first motoryacht to be powered by the new (HD)
high displacement engines from Caterpillar, the 3516B
HD's."
Upon
seeing ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM for the first time you know there
is something special about her. The split level master
stateroom with forward facing vertical windows adds
to the distinctive profile. Vertical oval windows on
the port and starboard sides allow light into the interior
while providing a change of design texture to the smooth
curvaceous and continuous horizontal lines. The Portuguese
bridge seating area is located fwd the vertical windows
of the pilot house. On the sundeck, there is a double
winged radar arch with a viewing window on either side
of the lower arch wings. The popular extended stern
swim platform, is becoming something of a trademark
for the Trinity yachts. At approximately 14ft. the platform
has developed into a very functional deck and is large
enough to allow dining at water level or parking for
jet skis.
Designed
and built entirely by Trinity Yachts under the exterior
design supervision of Geoff van Aller, this sleek motor
yacht with her radical lines truly incorporates the
style, elegance and performance envisioned by Geoff
and the Trinity team. ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM was launched at
the New Orleans shipyard in August 2005.

Recently Felix S. Sabates, Jr., Chairman, said, "Earlier
this year we launched the largest steel full displacement
hull in the US., now we have launched the fastest conventionally
powered semi-displacement aluminum motoryacht, we are
simply having a fantastic year at Trinity.
Sabates added, "Yacht owners around the world now
have a viable, American made, world class alternative
to the finest European builds in full-displacement steel
hull motor yachts and semi-displacement aluminum hull
motoryachts with speed."
This
161 ft. x 28 ft. (49m x 8.5m) motor yacht is powered
by two (2) Caterpillar 3516B HD. rated marine engines
creating a powerful 3,384 bhp each and are encased in
a specially designed and engineered sound proof engine
room. The yacht is capable of a maximum speed of 24
knots at trial load and a cruise of 21 knots. ZOOM ZOOM
ZOOM carries approximately 16,500 gallons (62,452L)
of fuel giving her transatlantic capability and has
a fresh water capacity of approximately 2,700 gallons
(10,220L).
The
larger rudders help to provide greater maneuverability
while the polished flush anchor pockets continues the
smooth lines of the hull design and reduces noise from
the anchor pockets in a seaway.
ZOOM ZOOM ZOOM can accommodate an Owner's party of twelve
(10) in five spaciously planned staterooms with en suite
baths exquisitely finished in mahogany. The interior
designer, Evan Marshall paid great attention to the
detail creating an air of sophistication on every level.

Each
of the guests' staterooms are located below deck.
There are three staterooms with king size berths,
one with twin berths.
The full beam master stateroom incorporates an unusual
split level design and over nine (9') feet of headroom.
There is an elegant sitting area and a luxurious ensuite
bath that includes a whirlpool tub and large marble
shower.
While
dining on board, the Owner can choose the elegance
of the enclosed dining room or an alfresco experience
on either the air-conditioned aft exterior main deck,
the aft exterior pilothouse deck or sundeck. The full
beam sky lounge will allow the Owners to entertain
their guests in either a formal or casual atmosphere.
A
crew of nine (9) can operate efficiently and comfortably
due to the design and finish of the crew accommodations
on board. Forward of the guest accommodations below
deck are three (3) crew cabins, each with its own
bath and shower, along with an engineers cabin aft
and a captains cabin aft of the pilot house.
A
watertight door from the crews quarters to the guest
staterooms provides discrete access and allows easy
servicing of the staterooms for laundry and cleaning.
