New
Orleans, Louisiana - March 17, 2005 - Trinity Yachts,
LLC announced it has launched the 180 ft. (55m) tri-deck
motoryacht with a full displacement steel hull.
In
70 years there has not been such a large steel full
displacement yacht launched like the MIA ELISE in the
United States.
Designed
and built by Trinity Yachts, this stunning motor yacht
truly incorporates the style, elegance and performance
envisioned by the owner. MIA ELISE was launched at the
New Orleans shipyard in February 2005.
According to Felix S. Sabates, Jr., Chairman, "It
was an exciting and proud moment for the Trinity personnel
ushering in a new era of American yacht building. Yacht
owners around the world now have a viable, American
made, world class alternative to the finest European
builds in full-displacement steel hull motoryachts."
Sabates
added, "Not only do owners benefit from the present
exchange rate by building in America, but there are
no language barriers and logistically Trinity is much
more accessible than many shipyards in Europe. We at
Trinity, also have a proven track record of building,
combining the skill and tradition in a shipyard with
over 6 decades of experience, along with the latest
technology in control, navigation and communications."
This
180 ft. x 33 ft. (55m x 10m) motoryacht is the first
of the Trinity displacement series and is powered by
two (2) Caterpillar 3512 B rated marine engines at 1650
hp each at 1600 rpm and encased in a sound proof engine
room. The yacht will be capable of a maximum speed of
15 knots at trial load and a cruise of 14 knots. MIA
ELISE will carry approximately 27,450 gallons (104,000L)
of fuel giving her transatlantic capability and has
a fresh water capacity of approximately 6,300 gallons
(23,800L). She is capable of helicopter operations in
the "touch and go" mode for arriving/departing
guests or medical evacuations.
MIA
ELISE can accommodate an Owner's party of twelve (12)
in six spaciously planned staterooms with en suite baths
exquisitely finished in mahogany.
Each
of the guests' staterooms are located below deck. There
are three staterooms with king size berths, one with
twin berths and a full beam VIP cabin with his/her bath.
There is also a passenger elevator servicing four (4)
decks.
The
full beam Owners' suite, accessible through the owners
private office, is located forward on the main deck
and is complete with his/her closets. There is an elegant
sitting area and a luxurious ensuite bath that includes
a whirlpool tub and large marble shower.
While
dining on board, the Owner can choose the elegance of
the enclosed dining room or an alfresco experience on
either the air-conditioned aft exterior main deck or
the aft exterior pilothouse deck. The full beam sky
lounge will allow the Owners to entertain their guests
in either a formal or casual atmosphere.
A
crew of twelve (12) to fourteen (14) can operate efficiently
and comfortably due to the design and finish of the
crew accommodations on board. Forward of the guest accommodations
below deck are five (5) crew cabins, each with its own
bath and shower.
This
area has a large crew lounge with full entertainment
facilities. A second crew lounge located below deck,
is accessible from the first through a stairway. Forward
of the second crew lounge, there is a large laundry
area and going aft through a passageway complete with
watertight doors, an additional walk-in cooler/freezer
and garbage storage freezer. The passageway runs the
entire length of the yacht and allows the crew to maneuver
anywhere within the yacht including the auxiliary machinery
room, without going outside and is a great benefit during
inclement weather.
Aft
of the engine room is the Engineer's quarters with its
double berth and bath with shower. The captain's stateroom
is located aft of the pilothouse and includes a queen
berth and a full bath with shower.
